eGov and Clinton Health Access Initiative Partner to Advance Digital Health Solutions Globally

3 Minutes

BENGALURU, India and BOSTON, Mass. – June 24, 2025

eGovernments Foundation and Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) today announced a three-year strategic partnership to help governments in developing countries deliver better health services to their citizens. The collaboration will focus on transforming how governments manage vaccination campaigns, disease prevention programs, and public health emergencies.

For millions of people in developing countries, accessing health services often means long waits, incomplete records, and health workers who lack real-time information about campaign progress or medical supply availability. The partnership will help governments move from paper-based systems to digital solutions using eGov’s DIGIT platform, which the organization developed to help governments serve citizens more effectively.

CHAI will use their health programs in over 30 countries to identify governments ready to adopt DIGIT HCM, connect eGov with health ministry officials they already work with, and share insights from their vaccination drives and disease prevention programs. They will also contribute their health campaign experience as eGov builds modular building blocks that enable government health campaigns at scale and support eGov in working with countries to adopt digital public goods for health campaigns.

eGov will provide technical implementation including system setup and infrastructure requirements, train government health workers and IT staff on operating DIGIT, customize the platform for each country’s specific health workflows, and establish local technical support teams. eGov will also support governments through system upgrades, provide ongoing advisory services on digital governance best practices, and ensure knowledge transfer so countries can independently manage and improve their digital health systems.

“Building digital public infrastructure that works across diverse contexts requires partnerships that bring together complementary strengths,” said Viraj Tyagi, CEO of eGovernments Foundation.

“The most impactful digital public goods emerge when organizations share knowledge and expertise rather than working in silos. This collaboration enables us to create solutions that can adapt to different health systems and scale across the countries that need them most.”

The collaboration looks at creating an ecosystem for last-mile impact, where citizens benefit fully from more coordinated health campaigns, faster response times during health emergencies, and better tracking to ensure no communities are missed during vaccination drives or disease prevention efforts.

“We’ve seen the tremendous impact that well-coordinated health campaigns can have on saving lives,” said Lakshmi Balachandran, Senior Director of Digital Health at CHAI.

“This partnership allows us to support governments in scaling those successes by bringing digital solutions that help health workers reach more people more effectively. When you combine proven health program approaches with robust digital infrastructure, the potential for impact is enormous.”
