Chandar Muthukrishnan

Chandar is the Chief Operating Officer of eGov Global, focused on taking open-source digital public infrastructure to governments worldwide. His focus at eGov Global is to strengthen delivery capability, and institutional relationships that can make open-source platforms and products – a default choice for governments across Africa and beyond. He believes that technology only matters if it lands with public services touching lives. That conviction, and the operational rigour behind it, is what he brings to every country, every partner, every system that eGov Global touches.

Chandar comes with a solid backing as the COO of eGov Foundation, where, for 5 years, he was instrumental in driving eGov’s mission in India across sectors from Urban to Sanitation and Public Finance. He also drove the early days of building eGov Global through international partners and championed the mission’s foray into public health across 8 countries in Africa. 

With 25 years of experience across enterprise software, manufacturing, telecom, and media, Chandar brings rare operational depth to complex, multi-stakeholder environments. He has built organisations from the ground up – from scaling a start-up to a 2,000-person enterprise and led large-scale transformations at Wipro and Prime Focus Technologies.

Chandar is an Electrical & Electronics Engineer from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University.
